Maybe AMA is the bug, or maybe its my usb2 external source drive? If so - should I temporarily rename the other one? I used to be one of them. Launch Avid and create a new project (named identical to an old one you had, if you want). Download a disk speed test application to see what it feels the true speed of the drive is after OS system overhead. This sounds like the problem you are describing. If I have to do it I will, but I'd love to find a shortcut to the task of recreating and copying the contents of the folders.
If that doesn't fix it I am considering upgrading my internal drive to SSD or getting a new system if needed.
So I am trying to import it the old fashion way right now to see if that works. I couldn't find anything in the Knowledgebase. Funny you should mention that.
