First, we capture using AI direct because Avid can't be bothered to implement their own tapeless fucking workflow. You aren't safe, so plan ahead and back your shit up! The file DOES transcode but the mxf clip says the same thing. Exporting the clip is the same. see this

Ever. For a reason I cannot fathom, autosequences created in 23.976 NTSC projects don't match clip TC to sequence TC. It seems to only happen when you do all of the following: Step 1) Convert the framerate of your source video clip to another framerate, either by editing with it in human user Freelance editor in Los Angeles, California Thursday, January 1, 2015 Avid MC 8.3 gives me a "Wrong Format" error when AMA linking A7s Mp4 footage --- Update 1/25/2015 ---

The longer, shittier option is to output those full res clips to new master tapes and capture them normally, or AMA link the master tape clips and then transcode the AMA A computer could almost instantly do this, without error. IT STILL DOES NOT WORK, STILL GIVESTHE WRONG FORMAT! Avid Support Computers are really good at boring and repetitive tasks.

The best I've got is a shitty workaround that adds a fuckload of time to your already busy schedule, and it fucks you if you're trying to do a true tapeless Install that, then AMA link to the folder root. That's the thing - the effects look and play FINE unrendered. Powered by Blogger.

You mentioned a Core 2 Duo machine. Avid Media Composer The future is now, or at least, it could beif you took a moment to consider that Computers are a Thing. We name bins "Act 2" when we damn well know we're doing a 26 episode season and every episode has an Act 2. Or is there some other possible explanation? this content When you see the wrong plugin invoked on a link-to-volume it's usually because the correct one isn't there or isn't working. But I have had this audio underrun and I've got a top spec'd Mac Pro with Atto R380 and 12GB Ram...they know it's an issue and a patch should be coming. http://advogato.net/avid-error/avid-error-out-of-memory.html Having finished work I copied over the rushes to my own G-Raid drive that I will work from. I'd like you to realize this, because your program, Avid, runs on a computer, and should probably take advantage of that fact one of these days. Copyright 2007-2016. Render Please

It's something no one has mentioned to me when setting up an Avid project - that you must have your media sitting in a folder at the ROOT of the drive, Isn't "Error: Not enough Space" a thing you used to LOVE showing back in the good ol' 3.1 days? Landmine Media, Inc. Links monetized by VigLink

  • I'm very new to Avid.
  • Play with your RCXPro export settings -I did have some crazy flicker on one clip out of perhaps 100 when I used a different export setting.
  • You may need to download & install the AMA plug-in from the Avid AMA website.
  • I also cannot transcode the files.
  • Fuck you, Avid.
  • When you AMA link clips, avid generates a pointer hash that tells the bin which clip file is being referenced.
  • This is NOT installed by default.
  • I mounted my drive via firewire 800 to load Aria Alexa footage.
  • Please feel free to add and edit pages, and list requests in this thread.

MC can't handle slashes, asterisks or other punctuation in a file name. Any difference in file structure between the drive that works and the other one? I found similar forum questions around the net, but I couldn't find anything particularly relating to my situation. Inside bins, sequences are dumb.
