I also noted that I can no longer run a command prompt as administrator either. I apparently wasn't able to do it quite theway you said (or at least the screen wouldn't come up) but i did trybooting in VGA mode and i do get a to something supported by his videocard and monitor. I don't know what else to do except a reformat and I'm not finding info on the internet on how to do that for Windows 7 while in safe mode.

- When you get options chose Safe Mode.
- The computer had an onboard video, and a pci video card added for a dual monitor setup.
- Go into Safe Mode and do:Start>Run>msconfig [enter]On the BOOT.INI tab under Boot Options check "/BASEVIDEO." Now restartin Regular Mode.
- Received the patch, let it reboot the computer, and the problem started immediately.
- What should I do about this security issue?
- Disabled the on board display from device manager and all is well.
- I restored to a point a couple of days back...didn't fix it.
This will let us know whether the issue is with the graphic card or LCD monitor. You never know when one will leave you.
