Just open the start menu and do a search for System repair disk. And yes, if my memory serves me correctly, I was asked to "press any key to boot from cd/dvd". the CD could be scratched or damaged..that or there could be tons of things wrong...if its just a windows made recovery CD though, then you probably just need to find a Reinstall these programs directly from the CDs or DVDs.NOTE: Do not skip this last step.
